The Beginning

Factory Effex, Inc. is a leading American brand in the motocross industry, recognized for pioneering motorcycle graphics, apparel, and accessories. Founded in 1996 by former professional racer Bryar Holcomb, the company was built on deep roots in the early days of U.S. motocross—shaping a culture driven by authenticity, performance, and innovation.

Early Days

From the beginning, Factory Effex focused on producing graphic kits that originally served as protective coverings for motorcycle plastics. As the sport evolved, these graphics became a defining element of bike customization and team identity, helping establish an entirely new segment within the motocross industry.

Growth

Throughout the late 1990s and 2000s, the company expanded rapidly beyond graphics into seat covers, decals, and officially licensed apparel for major OEM brands including Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Husqvarna, GasGas and Suzuki.  Close collaboration with professional race teams and athletes helped cement Factory Effex as a trusted name across both amateur and professional motocross.

Team Sponsorship

A key driver of the brand’s growth has been its long-standing involvement in racing through sponsorships and product development partnerships. Over the years, Factory Effex has supported top-tier teams including Factory Kawasaki, Star Racing Yamaha, JGR Yamaha, and Factory Husqvarna—working closely with these programs to refine and improve products for riders and consumers alike.

Elite Athletes

In addition to team support, Factory Effex has backed a wide range of elite athletes across motocross and freestyle disciplines. Notable riders associated with the brand include James Stewart, Chad Reed, Brian Deegan, as well as modern competitors like Justin Barcia, Malcolm Stewart, and RJ Hampshire—reflecting the brand’s influence from grassroots racing to the highest levels of competition.

Now and the Future

Factory Effex remains deeply rooted in motocross racing while continuing to develop innovative products for riders and fans alike. Offering the industry’s largest selection of officially licensed OEM moto casual wear, the brand has also expanded into garage and track essentials—including bike stands, bike mats, and tie-downs—bringing factory-level gear to everyday riders.
